Career

Born on April 20, 1956. Graduated from Niigata University Faculty of Law and Letters (currently Faculty of Humanities). While attending school, he was involved in the founding of the discount chain Max. While raising one son and two daughters, she runs an English cram school. While working at the community center as a social education instructor for the town, he organized a number of volunteer groups. He ran for the first time in the local unified election in 1999. Became the first female town councilor in Yokoetsu Town. In the 2001 House of Councilors election, he ran as a candidate for the Niigata Ward as an official endorsed by the former Liberal Party and won the election. Served as Vice Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, Chief Director of the Budget Committee, Chairman of the Special Committee on the Abductions Issue by North Korea, Representative of the Seikatsu no Party, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Democratic Party of Japan. 〇Currently appointed Chief Director of the Finance and Finance Commission, Secretary of the Special Committee on the Abduction Issue by North Korea, and Secretary of the Information Surveillance Review Board
