Born on February 23, 1955. Born in Osaka. Dropped out of Doshisha University Faculty of Law. Broadcast writer since 1980, debuted as a writer in 2006 with “Eien no 0”. The book is a bestseller with over 5 million copies sold. Served as a member of the NHK Management Committee (one term) since 2013. In 2020, he founded the Japanese Conservative Party. Representative of the Japanese Conservative Party. In July 2020, elected as a member of the House of Councilors.
